On December 4, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer, Myrna Louise Richards (Sundquist) left this world to join her son-Randal, parents-Arthur and Anna Sundquist, sister-in-law- Mary (Ley) Sundquist, and son-in-law - Dan Cook.
Myrna was born in Stavely on July 7, 1934 to Arthur and Anna Sundquist. She spent the entirety of her childhood and adolescence on the farm where her brother Melvin Sundquist still resides. 
Myrna left the Stavely area in 1956 when she married James Richards and started a family of her own. Their family quickly grew; their first son Michael James (May 1957) daughter Rhonda Lee (May 1959) Jeffery Arthur (June, 1960); and finally, Randal Garnet (April, 1965). Myrna was thrilled when her extended family continued to grow, and she became a sister in-law to Mary, which led to her title of “Aunty” by nephew Axel, and niece Catherine. Her favorite title “Grandma” was attained beginning in the 80's, when the floodgates opened and so came: Jeffrey, Sheena, Paige, Megan, Candice, Nathan, Jonathan, and finally Jay De. Her first great- grandchild – Abigal arrived in 2014.
Myrna considered family to be the most important thing but as everyone knows, family was not limited to a bloodline or a name. Everyone was always welcomed with an open heart and considered to be part of her extended family. 
We will miss her handcrafted gifts of love that she bestowed upon all of us and are blessed to have them as mementos as the love she had for all of friends and family.
