Terrance George Sakatch

t’s with a heavy heart that the Sakatch clan announces the passing of Terry (never Terrence) Sakatch. He went peacefully in his sleep on July 3, just three days shy of his 85th birthday. Dad was pretty healthy for all of those years, but suffered an episode of a-fibrillation which caused a fall on Mother’s Day. That led to a serious concussion which kept doctors from fully treating the a-fib, so he never truly bounced back.

He is survived by Sharon, his wife of 63 years, sons Shawn (Sherry) and Scott (Janine), grandchildren Kevin (Stephanie) and Trevor (Taylor) Sakatch, Haylea (Adam Clark) and Terry (Kassie Arnold) Ecklund, great-granddaughter Olivia Sakatch, as well as his sister Lois Mackintosh (Allan) of Granum and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at the Granum cemetery on Thursday, July 10. There will be no funeral in accordance with his wishes
