Robert, aka Fonz or Bob, proudly lived an unconventional life full of adventures and bravely on his own terms.
Born and raised in Stavely, he was well known as a cute but mischievous youngster and then a really good guy that was dependable and particular, taking great pride in making sure things were done right. His nickname came about as he was so ‘cool’ amongst his group of buddies! Bob was an avid big game hunter, rodeo cowboy, fisherman, and top level marksman winning the 1989 Canadian Skeet Shooting Championship. He loved the foothills, mountains, road trips and being outdoors. He was a man of many talents and skills doing all sorts of jobs, including working many years with Norby Construction and at one point owning the Monarch Hotel.
Robert was pre-deceased by his sister, Lee-Ana and his parents, Bob and Joan Foose.
He will be forever remembered by his niece Sonya, nephews Darcy and Colin Moyer, along with many lifelong friends and the whole Stavely Hotel gang! There are many funny stories and accounts of crazy adventures that he left behind as his gift for us all to remember him by. His kind heart and carefree personality will always be a big part of many great memories.
At Robert’s Request No Formal Funeral Service will be held We will be having a drop in ‘Toast to Fonz’ at the Stavely Hotel, Sunday, September 14th, 1:00 - 4:00pm.
It was quite a ride ‘Fonz’! You will be thought of often and greatly missed by many!
