Robert "Bob" Arthur Allen

October 23, 1939 - December 28, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Arthur Allen on December 28, 2024, at the Willow Creek Continuing Care Center in Claresholm, Alberta. Bob passed peacefully under the dedicated care of the Willow Creek staff at the age of 85.

Born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, on October 23, 1939, Bob lived a full and adventurous life.  His career as a Commissioning Project Manager took him across North America, where he contributed to remarkable projects such as the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller, the Government of Canada Virology lab in Winnipeg, the Cape Canaveral Lockheed Martin Launch pad, and the Pentagon.

Bob was a passionate photographer and cyclist. He spent countless hours in his home darkroom (the kids' bathroom!), developing his own negatives and prints. His love of cycling led him on many adventures, including a memorable ride from Calgary to Vancouver. When his wife, Jeanne, could no longer keep up on her own bike, Bob's solution was to buy tandem bikes so they could continue their cycling journeys together.

Bob was a loving husband to Jeanne for 60 years. He was a devoted father to Roberta Allen, Jeffery Allen, and Debra Moore, and a cherished grandfather to his eight grandchildren: Graham Moore, Chelsea Allen, Connor Moore, Stephanie Allen, Brady Moore, Walker Moore, Ryland Moore, and Clara Connelly. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob's memory to Alzheimer's Canada.
