Reginald Russell Boxell

It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing Reg Boxell husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Reg was born on May 25, 1938 in Methley Manitoba to Ronald and Annis Boxell. Reg was the third child of eight children. Reg married his school sweetheart Rochelle Plamondon on May 7, 1960 they moved to Campbellford, Ontario where they started to raise their family of five children. They lived in Ontario until 1968 when they decided to take their family, who were only one year apart, to a small northern Manitoba, a mining community. This is where they lived, worked and played until Reg’s retirement in 1995. They raised their five children in Thompson and really embraced the outdoor life of the north. They bought a cabin for their family at Paint Lake where many memories were made with his family fishing in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter. After retirement, Reg and Rochelle move to Taber, Alberta without their children, and spent many years enjoying travel, and playing cards with Jocelyne, Bruce, Ron, and Sharon and their families, many memories were made. Reg loved to spend his time with his family. Reg’s pride and joy were his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and never thought they would grow to a number of 45. Reg is survived by his wife Rochelle; children, Russ (Tracy) Michelle (Dave), Tammy (Warren), Glen (Debbie), and Maureen (Brent) Shearer; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Rest easy, Reg we will forever Love you and miss you..

A Memorial Mass will be held on July 21st, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Christ the King Catholic Church 2344 50th Avenue West Claresholm, Alberta T0L 0T0 Cremation Entrusted to Zentner Funeral Homes
