Rachael passed away peacefully on March 8th, 2018 at the Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre. She was predeceased by her loving husband and best friend Reinhold and their son Murray. She leaves behind her daughter Diane (Earl) Hemmaway and their family Jason (Debra) Hemmaway and Darcy (Ken) Blair; Murray's family Lisa (Nathan) Tremblay and Justin (Dalyce) Seitz; she also leaves behind 7 great-grandchildren.
Rachael was born at Medicine Hat, Alberta on August 28th, 1925. She took great pride in her home and garden, was an awesome cook and loved to bake goodies for her family. She worked side by side with Reinhold on the farm and could run a tractor, combine, baler and also helped with the cow calf operation. She was also employed at the Claresholm Care Centre as a Health Care Aide for many years. When she retired from the Care Centre she went to work at the Claresholm High School as a custodian.
At Rachael's request, no funeral service will be held. If desired, donations in memory of Rachael may be made to STARS Calgary Base - Head Office, 1441 Aviation Park N.E. Box 570, Calgary, Alberta T2E 8M7.
