Piet Schiebout was born April 7th, 1934 in Lethbridge, Alberta. Raised on the family farm at Kipp. He went to Rolling Hills and Coalhurst School. Piet loved sports and played fastball all over southern Alberta and BC until he was in his late fifties. He became a master carpenter with one of his jobs as Head Carpenter in Waterlake National Park for over eleven years.
Piet met his wife over a flat tire at Kipp. They were married at Monarch Reformed Church on the 20th of September, 1958. They had two children, Patricia (Larry) and Joel (Sherri). They spent 27 years living in Pincher Creek, then retired to Claresholm. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Ryan, Corbin, Shayla and Hanna, his pride and joy. Opa died on Tuesday the 21st of July, 2021 at the Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre. At his request, there will be no funeral.
Piet was a very creative and practiced person that could do anything he put his hands to.
