Merle Eileen Matheson
March 24, 1930 – July 13, 2026
With heavy hearts the family announces the peaceful passing of Merle Eileen Matheson on July 13, 2026 at the age of 96.
Merle is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Maureen (Roger) Schell and their children Tricia, Natalie (Landon Reglin) and Crystal (Justin Gillis).
Merle will be dearly missed by her daughter Tammy and her children Shawn (Richelle) Robyn and Tyrone.
She leaves behind her two granddaughters Jody and Ivy (Guy) and grandsons Blake and Jay (Jack) as well as 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Merle was the last surviving sibling in her family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Maurice (1998?) and her sons Jack (1999) and Guy (2024).
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Smith and the compassionate staff at Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre – your kindness and care meant so much to Merle and her family.
In keeping with Merle’s wishes, there will be no formal service. The family will honour her memory privately.
