Eleanor Bray
(Mary Eleanor Guenther)
Passed away peacefully in her 90th year on Saturday, September 5th.
Eleanor grew up in Milverton, Ontario. She spent her summers working as a lifeguard at the community pool and helping year-round in the family bakeshop. After high school, she moved away to attend teachers' college in Kitchener. Several years later, in 1964, a move brought her to Oakville. Eleanor returned to teaching with the Halton Board of Education, spending over two decades nurturing young minds across several schools in Oakville. Teaching was truly her passion.
She leaves behind a family who loved her dearly, including her children, Scott and Kim Bray. Eleanor held a particularly special place in her heart for her grandson, Tyler, whose constant kindness brought so much brightness and joy to her life. Her quiet strength, warmth, and compassion touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Our family extends heartfelt gratitude to her dear friend, Bonita, and the caring staff at Tudor Manor in Okotoks, Alberta.
