We are so very sad to announce the passing of our mother Luetta Ann Fries, at the age of 89. Her sense of humor and loving heart will be deeply missed. We will treasure our memories of her forever in our hearts.
Luetta was born in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan. She attended school at Aldag School Saskatchewan. Luetta married Francis Clair Fries in 1957. They later separated in the year of 1973. She then moved to Claresholm where she lived out the rest of her life. She worked as a house keeper and the most important job of all, raising her kids.
Luetta loved: cooking, gardening, embroidery, playing cards, bingo, jigsaw puzzles, animals, and most of all family time, going on picnics, etc. She collected coins, old bills, and buttons. Later in life her favorite thing was going to crib tournaments. She always talked about life on the farm and missed it.
Luetta is predeceased by her father Henry Hoffarth and mother Clara Hoffarth. She is also predeceased by 6 brothers and 6 sisters. Plus her son Jake Fries
She has one remaining sister Violet Steiger
She is leaving behind 5 children, Ralph Fries (Sue), Marion Fries (Terri), Christine Gustman (Bernie), Ilene Olinyk (Randy), and Collene Harvy.
She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, Michelle Fries, Chekie Fries, Leah Neuman, Jody Neuman, Cole McClure, Jordan Gustman, Jaylene Gustman, Ashley Fries, Tyler Preete, and Tiffany Preete. Plus 16 great grand children.
Luetta’s family would like to thank all the staff at the Porcupine Hills Lodge for all their care over the years. Plus to Homecare for all their caring support.
A Private Family get together will be held at a later date.
