Lucille Ann Johnston, 89, of Granum, Alberta, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026.
Lucille was born in Kimberley, BC in 1936 to Violet and Helmer Nielson. A dedicated wife and mother to six, Lucille, along with her husband Francis Albert Smith, moved their family to Elkford, BC in 1970. They also lived in Lillooet, BC for several years before retiring to Comox, BC in 1989.
Lucille remarried and moved to Granum, AB in 2018.
Lucille is survived by four of her children: Christine Jobe, Sheila Smith, Jeffery Smith, and Charlene Pereira. She was predeceased by her sons, Frankie and Raymond Smith. Lucille had 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Beloved by family and friends Lucille’s life will be celebrated in Kamloops, BC on what would have been her 90th birthday, July 12, 2026.
