Leonard Emil Sundquist

With profound sadness and gentle relief, the family of Leonard Emil Sundquist announces his passing on January 24, 2018 at age 88. He is survived by his wife Marjorie; daughters Margo (Kim) and Jo-Lou (Mike); sons Duke (Tracy), Clay (Joanne) and Stephen (Cheryl); 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; sisters Elizabeth (Neil), Margaret and Mary; brother-in-law Bob (Lynda); sisters-in-law Sheila, Verle and Hazel; as well as numerous extended family. Leonard was predeceased by his parents Emil and Martha and brother Axel.

Leonard was born in Stavely and resided there his entire life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, farming and loved to visit. He was community minded and was known as “Papa” by everyone who knew him.

A Celebration of Leonard’s Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the Stavely Community Hall (5101 – 52nd Street, Stavely). If desired, memorial tributes may be made to the Stavely and District Agriculture Society (Box 115, Stavely, Alberta T0L 1Z0).
