It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ken McDaniel on March 8, 2021, at the age of 65. Ken will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by Marg, his wife of 46 years, and his sons James (Keltie) and Gordon (Lisa) and 3 grandsons – Phillip, Dobry and Nicholas.
Ken is predeceased by his parents Clarence and Helen McDaniel and his brother Gerry. He is survived by his siblings Deborah LaRocque, Sandra Brown (Ken), Robert (Sharon), and many nieces and nephews, and will be remembered fondly by his brother and sisters-in-law with whom he shared so many years.
Ken was born in Ottawa, Ontario but spent most of his adult life living in Alberta (Red Deer, Crossfield, Calgary) where he and Marg raised their family. In the later years the two spent time living in the countryside of the Gatineau, Quebec area before returning to Calgary several years ago. Ken spent many years working in the automotive industry before developing a passion for health and safety and venturing into the Oil industry. He was always very proud of the years he spent as the Chief of the Volunteer Fire Department in Crossfield, Alberta.
Having been apart for only five months, Ken has now been reunited with his beloved dog Ozzy and there is no doubt that the two are once again enjoying their walks together.
We love and miss you Ken.
