Karen Gould (Morkin)
Karen was born in Manning, Alberta on January 5th, 1952 and left us late in the evening of June 23rd, 2026.
She leaves behind her mother Elizabeth Gould, sisters Lauren Readman (Brian) and Theresa Wagner (Alvin), four nephews and their families, and of course, her faithful companion Pickle.
Karen was predeceased by her loving husband Mike Morkin and her father Gordon Gould.
When Karen was five years old the Gould family moved to Fort St John, B.C. Upon graduating from high school Karen relocated to Vancouver where she spent several years. She also lived in Kamloops and Edmonton before eventually settling in Claresholm.
Her interests and accomplishments were varied from horseback riding to trap shooting to golf. She was an amazing cook and baker (which served her well during her marriage to Mike, as he was known to often arrive home with unexpected dinner guests!) She was a potter, knitter, crocheter and as anyone who ever received a handmade card from her knows, a talented artist and crafter.
As a family we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Karen's friends who were so incredibly supportive during her illness.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
If desired, donations may be made in Karen's memory to:
