Johanna Mackintosh Obituary

Johanna Mackintosh (nee Weerstra), 101, of Granum, Alberta, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2021, at the Willow Creek Extended Care Claresholm.

Johanna was active in the Jumbo Valley Presbyterian Church, Eastern Star and Home and School. She curled and cheered at the baseball and basketball games of Jack and the kids. In retirement, she had time to knit, crochet, tat, and attend activities such as cards and carpet bowling at the Granum Drop-In Center, where she was a member until her 90’s. Johanna enjoyed gardening and camping with her family, and she was known for her great baking. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother and she will be missed by all.

Johanna is survived by her children Katheline (Art) Caswell of Campbell River, B.C., Allan (Lois) Mackintosh of Granum, Patricia (Clarence) Lomheim of Calgary, and Lorna (Jack) Duffy of Strathmore, and daughter-in-law Pat Mackintosh of Lethbridge.
