It is with teary eyes yet grateful hearts that we announce the passing of James (Jim) E Holtom.
Jim was born in Harriston, ON, on November 4, 1933 and passed away at Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre in Claresholm, AB, on October 14, 2019.
He was predeceased by his wife Lois and son Kevin, his parents, foster parents, three brothers and two sisters.
He will be missed by his surviving daughters Kim (Ken) Seiferling and Lori Hansen, sister-in-law, nieces, nine grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
During his life Jim farmed in Ontario and Alberta and worked in the oil field in many places around the world. He also drilled water wells throughout southern Alberta and drove gravel truck. He was gifted mechanically and could fix anything. Jim had a home in Yuma and spent 40 years wintering there where he assisted a neighbour with a fruit orchard. No matter where he was, he found time to fish.
A Celebration of his life will be held at The Southside Victory Church - 6402 1A St SW, Calgary on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 10:00 A.M.
