In celebration and memory of Art Lange. Art was born to August and Emily Lange on August 28, 1945 at the General Hospital in Claresholm, Alberta. With two older sisters, Irene and Linda, Art was the youngest of three. He grew up in the Claresholm community and attended school in town. He finished his schooling in Edmonton at Concordia College. After school Art went straight into farming on the family farm which was established by Art’s grandfather in 1905. On March 23rd of 1968 Art Lange married Delores Doane from Vulcan. Two years later their eldest son, Mark, was born in July of 1970. By March 13, 1973, their lives were blessed with twins, Dean and Paul. Art was born into an outdoors family and started hunting and fishing as soon as he was strong enough to hold rod and rifle. He raised his family outdoors and passed on his love for the Porcupine Hills and Rocky Mountains to his three boys. The only thing stronger than Art’s love for the outdoors was his passionate faith in Jesus. He spent over two decades supporting the gospel on our local Native Reservations by partnering with and supporting our precious Native pastors and ministers. Art was predeceased by his parents, August and Emily, and his middle sister, Linda. Art Lange is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Delores Lange, and his three boys, Mark (Katy), Dean (Barb) and Paul. Art has four grandchildren. Three living, Eli, Isaac and Linnea and one miscarriage, Joy, who on Monday January 8th, 2024 he met with great delight in the glorious presence of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
A Celebration of Art’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 17 at 1:00pm, at Zentner Funeral Homes Claresholm, Alberta.
