1939 - 2024

It is with great sadness, that the family of Hans Kristian Pedersen announce his passing on September 25th, 2024.

Hans was born in Denmark on June 13, 1939 and by the time he was 14, had found his passion and career.

He was an exceptional bricklayer and until the end, would share buildings or homes that he’d done the brickwork on, in passing.

When he wasn’t working, you could find Hans tending his amazing garden and competing with his brother as to who had the best potatoes or fastest sprouting garden.

He also enjoyed camping and throughout the years spent time in the great outdoors with all of his children and grandchildren.

Hans was known for his jovial spirit and could remember jokes at any given moment. His door was always open for a friendly visit and perhaps a shot of Aquavit during the holiday season.

At his request there will not be a formal Service. An informal celebration of life open house will be held on the afternoon of Saturday, October 26, 2024, between 1 and 5 at Hans’ family home located at 2310 - 17 Street, Nanton, Alberta.

Donations to The Parkinson’s Association of Alberta would be much appreciated by the family.
