Geza (aka Bob) was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta to Geza and Margaret Boda. They lived in Medicine Hat until they moved to Forest Lawn in Calgary where he went to school and started his career at CP Rail.
Geza met his wife Sandy and they married on August 25, 1979. Seven months later, in March of 1980, they welcomed their only daughter; and then in April 1983 added twin sons. Lastly, in January 1986, they welcomed their third son to the family. Together they resided in Calgary until 2019, and then in High River until early 2024 when they decided to move to Youngstown, SK.
Geza will be remembered for all the long winded stories and charming sense of humor which includes his favorite saying, ‘have you been told today?’ promptly followed by his favorite finger! He also loved to go fishing, work on vehicles and die cast models (for which he assembled a huge collection throughout his life).
He loved spending time with his animals and family, especially his grandkids.
Geza is survived by his wife Sandy; daughter Charlotte (Raymond), sons Geza Jr, Alex (Vickey), Richard (Crystal) and grandchildren William (Madison), Kimberly (Nathaniel), Angel, Belle, Elizabeth, Eric, Jake, Damian, Dominic, Tyrin, Brandon; and great grandchildren Callie, and Mason. Plus cousins Cherie (Steve), Ashley, and Brooklyn along with various other family members all over the world.
Geza was predeceased by his parents Geza and Margaret Boda; mother and father-in-law Ernie and Betty Hill and best friend Greg Sarina. He was also predeceased by his multiple fur babies including Mascara who was his baby until 2024 when she passed unexpectedly.
