In Loving Memory of Geraldine "Jeri"
Morton: A Celebration of Life and Legacy
It is with immense sadness that the family of Geraldine "Jeri" Morton
announces her sudden passing on August 27th, 2025. Geraldine
" Jeri" Beese-Morton was born December 8th, 1952 in Vancouver,
British Columbia, where she lived with her parents, Mary and Wes
Beese, and her younger sister, Leslie. They moved to Coquitlam in
1962. She lived there until she married her husband, Anthony
Morton, on August 7th, 1970. While their first home was a pipeline
station in Summit Lake BC, they would have many homes in their
early years.Eventually, they moved to Calgary, Alberta, in the
mid-70s. On a drive to Medicine Hat to search for a place to move
their mobile home, Jeri told Tony to drive around Claresholm. The
rest is history . Jeri worked at the Flower Nook and Gifts with her
dear friends as well as owning Jeri's Sewing Box. She was mom
extraordinaire to Donnie and Kathleen and was the center of their
world.Upon retirement, she settled into a quiet life with her
husband and dogs, Piper and Belle. She loved to go camping at Race
Horse Creek. Jeri was predeceased by her daughters, Christine and
Katrina, her sister Leslie, her parents Wes and Mary, and her son
Donnie. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 55 years, Tony
and daughter Kathleen as well as friends and family.
At Jeri's request, there will be no formal service.A small gathering of
family and friends will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Kidney
Foundation.
