Flora “Jean” Walker

It is with great sadness that the family of Flora “Jean” Walker must announce her passing on the date of July 23, 2023, peacefully surrounded by family. Jean was born in Medicine Hat on January 12, 1935, and grew up on her family farm outside of Bow Island. In May of 1956 she married Robert “Bob” Walker and they moved to Taber, eventually settling in Medicine Hat. Jean spent the latter years of her life living in Claresholm. Jean was predeceased by her husband in 2009 and her son Thomas “Craig” Walker in 2022.

She is survived by her son Robert “Scott” Walker (Lorraine), her son Alan Walker (Shannon), and her daughter Janet Walker (Malik Salman) and fondly remembered by her many grandchildren: Michael Walker, Troy Walker, Robert Walker, Jonathan Walker, Janelle Walker, Abdellah Salman, Brad Walker, Cory Walker, and Daryl Anne Walker. She is also survived by five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
