Douglas Garfield Gordon passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a long illness.
He is survived by his wife, Yvette Gordon, daughters Nicole Gordon, and Michelle Walker, two grandchildren, and two sisters in North Bay Ontario.
First and foremost, his family meant the world to him, and his grandchildren even more. He lived his life trying to do good. Helping those in need and lending a hand always, leaving a trail of people with nothing but kind words and memories of him.
He started his career in the RCMP and then moved on to Environmental Heath and Safety. A man with more hobbies than time, he enjoyed fly fishing and woodworking the most in his elder years, and was very accomplished at both. Always with a book or tablet in his hands, he loved to "learn and keep busy” and this was made evident by all of the beautiful keepsakes and memories in his family’s homes and lives.
He will be missed greatly but never forgotten.
