Dana Philip Curle

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dana Philip Curle, who passed away after a three-week stay in the Foothills ICU on Monday, November 10, 2025, after a battle with addiction that led to health complications at 47 years old.

Dana was born November 20, 1977, at the Lethbridge Municipal Hospital, to Phil and Connie Curle, he was raised alongside his older siblings, Shannon Liska and Shane Curle.

Dana was predeceased by his father Phil on October 8, 2024; a loss felt by all that knew him, his grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.

Dana is lovingly remembered by his mother Connie, sister Shannon Liska (Les), and their children Riley (Olivia) and Kelsey Liska; his brother Shane (Bobbie-Jo), and Shane’s stepchildren, Kole (Cayley) and Court Slaughter.  

Dana loved passionately his beloved LA Kings, KISS, and enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas and other destinations with family and friends. He always worked alongside his father and brother running family businesses. Starting with the Turbo gas station, then Curly’s Liquor Store, and most recently Claresholm Carwash, which was sold in July 2023.

The family would like to thank the staff at Foothills Medical Centre, with extra appreciation for those in the Spinal Surgical Team and ICU for their care and compassion during Dana's final days.

A casual come and go Celebration of Life will be held to commemorate Dana’s life at Casa Roma restaurant in Claresholm, Alberta Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

Please wear your favourite hockey jersey. There will be no speeches or formal presentations.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Foothills Medical Center in Dana’s memory.
