Cecil Russell Herrington

May 29, 1957 – March 13, 2020

The family of Cecil Russell Herrington regrets to announce his passing on Monday, March 13. Left to mourn him are his wife Candace, son Chase and daughters Jaimie, Shelene and Serenity. He is also survived by his parents Les and Dorothy Herrington, four brothers and their families and six grandchildren.

Cecil was born in RCAF Baden-Baden, Germany on May 29, 1957.  

He had many passions but fishing, and in particular fly-fishing, was likely his favourite one.  He spent hours in the Old Man River with his hip waders loving every moment.  He also enjoyed hunting for ammolite and was a great admirer of Harley Davidson motorcycles.  Any family outings that included a bike sighting meant a conversation with the owner about how he admired their bike.

Cecil had a very strong work ethic, his belief was that you did it right, you did it completely, or you didn’t do it at all.  “No half-assing it” was his motto.  

Cecil will be missed by many.
