Betty passed away at the Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre on Wednesday, February 7, 2018. She was born and raised in Claresholm. Betty was the last surviving member of the immediate family of the late Jack and Mary Ross.
She was employed with Alberta Government Telephones for many years in Claresholm and Calgary, Claresholm Care Centre, Town of Claresholm and The Municipal District of Willow Creek No. 26. Betty will be remembered for her generosity and good will in the community. She was a care giver to her neighbors and friends over the years and entertained many seniors for Christmas dinner.
Betty is survived by two nieces: Wendy (Alan) Clark and family of Claresholm, Debra (Barry) Johnston and family of Calgary, nephews: John (Jeanine) Ross and family of Trout Lake, BC, Jim (Laura) Ross and family of Slave Lake, AB, Richard (Theresa) Ross of Gunn, AB, David (Donna) Ross of Airdrie, Kelly (Sheila) Ross and family of Airdrie, Roy (Janet) Ross of Kaslo, BC, and sister-in-law Mildred Ross of Calgary.
At Betty’s request, no formal funeral service will be held.
