Adele Marylyn Greasley passed peacefully on Friday February 6, 2026, in Claresholm, Alberta surrounded by her daughter Kira Greasley, granddaughter Melissa Lindsay, and great grandchildren Willow and Ryder Lindsay.
Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Adele was the only child to Stephen Hrynewich and Ann Balon, who had both previously deceased her. Adele had many accomplishments over the years with two highlights: graduating high school in 1959 and then the Modern School of Business with her Clerical Typist Diploma in 1964. But I believe what Mom took the most pride in was providing for her family, blood and non-blood, to the best of her ability.
On December 4, 1965, Adele married her lifelong companion Kirk Moore Greasley, and they had two children, Cindy Froud and Kira Greasley, plus many fur babies. Adele had many interests such as being a dedicated dance mom spending many hours sewing, gluing, pinning and volunteering. Adele also enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening, shopping, and watching the Blue Jays.
Adele is survived by her husband Kirk Moore Greasley, her 2 daughters, 3 grandchildren; Melissa Lindsay, Darren Goodison & Kathyrn Goodison along with 9 great grandkids.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Zentner Funeral Home in Claresholm, Alberta from 1-3 pm where we hope many stories and secrets will be told.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Adele’s name to the SPCA or any animal shelter.
